I am not getting much chance to regularly update this section at the moment so aplogies to you regulars. My mobile internet dongle thing does not have enough power to allow me to edit the site so I am sat in The Garden Cafe in Custom House at the moment, updating this.

Doris has gone back to Ghana. Aspire has started working with Look Ahead Housing in Chadwell Heath and The Welcome Project in Ilford. Both are involved in the support of the homeless and vulnerably housed and we will be providing employment opportunities for their clients. Mike C introduced me to The Welcome Project a couple of years ago and they recently got in touch to see if we could work together. I have already moved one guy on to a project that is now being run by Simon G who used to work for Aspire.

In turn The Welcome Project introduced us to Look Ahead Housing.

Just to prove what a small world it really is and that we should not be surprised that outside of our own strength... Pastor David and I went to Folkestone last weekend to minister in a church that has been established for a year on a new housing estate in Hawkinge. I had never heard of it but it is where the airstrip was for the Battle of Britain. It reminded us that spiritually we are in the Battle for Britain.

Anyway, it turns out that the Pastors wifes brother runs Teen Challenge in Ilford, which The Welcome Project and Look Ahead Housing work closely with, as did the Garden Cafe where I am sat now (see the Teen Challenge link at the bottom of the page).

I am considering the idea of selling honey in the UK, imported from a Christian Project in Europe. I am expecting samples in the next few days and would value any feedback if people are interested in buying honey on a occasional or regular basis.

Check out the First Fruit website for a few jobs that have come up. Also get in touch if you are a Christian French Teacher because there might be an opportunity coming up.

I had a letter from T recently and was glad to see that they are still distributing lots of bibles in places that would rather they did not, including a braille bible to a blind Christian girl and a load in to a prison which 3 of us approached a few years ago, where the doors miraculously opened to us. Please pray for all involved in this ministry and their supporters.
